Custom Lighting at RI Convention CenterApril 2026

Lumetta partnered on a complex custom installation for the Rhode Island Convention Center, designing a 318-inch oval ring pendant to anchor the rotunda bar. The fixture responds directly to the scale and openness of the space, serving as both a lighting solution and an architectural feature.

Constructed in multiple sections, the pendant integrates LED sources with a continuous etched acrylic aperture to deliver even illumination along the perimeter. The opaque metal frame, finished in matte black, defines the fixture’s form while controlling light distribution and minimizing glare.

Custom suspension and support arms were engineered to accommodate the fixture’s size and weight, while also managing multiple power feeds routed from remote drivers. The result is a seamless integration of lighting, structure, and performance.

This project demonstrates Lumetta’s ability to execute highly customized solutions where design intent, engineering, and fabrication must align at scale.
