Modified Options: More Flexibility for Your DesignSeptember 2026

Sometimes the right luminaire is already there, but the standard configuration isn’t quite right for the project. That’s where Lumetta’s Modified Options come in.

Modified Options are alternate options that allow you to adapt a standard Lumetta product to better suit your project requirements without moving into a fully custom design.

Depending on the product, available modifications may include suspension, canopy, top and bottom lenses, dimming and other electrical options. For example, a project may call for a different canopy style, an alternate suspension method, a clear or opaque top lens, or an applied Lumenate® bottom lens.

Small Changes, More Possibilities

Even a relatively simple modification can make a difference in how a luminaire works within a space.

Modified Options can help address ceiling conditions, coordinate visible components with the overall design, change the appearance of the luminaire, or accommodate specific lighting and control requirements.

Available options vary by product, so each product page identifies the modifications available for that particular luminaire.

Standard, Modified or Custom?

Think of Modified Options as the space between our standard offering and a fully custom luminaire.

A standard product uses the selections included within its standard configuration. A modified product starts with an existing Lumetta design and incorporates one or more predefined modifications. A custom solution gives you even greater flexibility when your project requires something outside those established options.

And custom doesn’t necessarily mean starting from scratch. An existing Lumetta design can be further customized through dimensional changes, custom Lumenate® colors and patterns, custom applied Lumenate® lenses, clustered arrangements and canopies, and other project-specific changes.

There are no minimum order quantities for modified or custom production runs, making these options accessible for projects of virtually any size. Customization can also be more attainable than you might expect, even for smaller quantities.
