Abilene Memorial Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Abilene, KS. The facility prides itself on providing the best quality health care for the community and wanted their facilities to reflect this philosophy–by being both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing for its guests, patrons, and staff.
When they began construction of a new input unit and complete renovation of their former hospital location, they contracted with Lawrence Group Architects of St. Luis to design a modern deco environment with interior design, furnishings and fixtures. The agency chose Lumetta as the lighting solution supplier for the project.
To execute the perfect luminaires, Lumetta engineered and fabricated oversized Custom Box Pendants. The fixtures included powder coated bronze patterned frames with a modern industrial feel and a complementary antimicrobial MT Natural lighting diffuser. Square and rectangular boxes and sconces were chosen for illuminating and highlighting the space, as their silhouettes felt true to the style.
With the compilation of play between metal and light and the warm bronze finish, the deco design of the frame, and their impressive scale, the fixtures looked stunning and delivered the ideal amount of ambient lighting for the environment.
The extraordinary collection of luminaires gracefully complements each other as well as their surroundings, and the beautiful ambient lighting dramatically enhances the organic look of the resort-style facilities.
As envisioned, the compelling luminaires complement the character of the room and meet all the firms design goals in planning the perfect lighting element for the space.
Abilene Memorial Hospital was extremely pleased with the final lighting design, which made for a striking yet inviting offer for patients and staff who utilized the space.
