I recently finished working on an important commercial project with Lumetta’s team that included large, acoustic shade drum pendants comprised of their D61 MT White exterior shade and D715 Quicksilver interior shade. The fixtures were manufactured with a modified lumen package from 4000 to 2800. 300 per the designer’s request, which made this a completely custom package. Lumetta did not disappoint. They were quick to fabricate these lighting solutions exactly as we specified.

Christine, as always was a huge help in facilitating this project and their entire Customer Service team is always there to support us.

Lumetta’s Ambient Drum Lighting Illuminates St. Louis Arc’s Office and Community CenterJuly 2020

St. Louis Arc, a healthcare facility providing high-quality services, family support, and advocacy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is located in Creve Couer, MO.

The non-profit organization determined it was time to renovate and made the decision to retrofit their Office and Community Center into an all-inclusive space that would empower the organizations’ growing population. A prerequisite of the retrofit was that the space be able to support a person-centered, coordinated care approach through smaller group settings with meaningful activities for their growing and aging population.

The agency hired Architect and Interior Design team Oculus, Inc. to upgrade their offices to a bright and modern environment.

Lighting was the main concern when it came to the transformation of the space. Softer illumination levels of light were diffused throughout the space with the use of high ceiling fixtures, recessed task and area lighting, and pendant lighting to create scale. The agency specified 2 of Lumetta’s highly regarded LED, low VOC 23” Drum Pendants with D 183 Whitewash Lumenate® diffusers for ambient lighting in front of the large TV, creating a warm and inviting environment for clients and their families to sit together.

The multi-functional space has now become a very popular setting and offers learning and support services for any seniors with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the St. Louis area.
